Coming soon: Vanishing
How does a dancer represent both an external environment and its internal reality? In «Vanishing», choreographer and dancer Hideto Heshiki depicts the two with startling immediacy, drawing inspiration from the Japanese avant-garde movement Gutai, whose aim is to bring out the true nature of given things, free them from accumulated associations, and restore their first beauty.
Also on stage are renowned dancers Keiichi Otsuka, Masaharu Imazu and Nurya Egger, known to local audiences from earlier Heshiki collaborations; and a special, evolving set, designed by Christian Horisberger and Karin Schuh, painted live, onstage, by Thomas Hannibal. In addition, Christian and Alex Buck Goretzki supply e-guitar, and Berliner Almut Lustig drums, to produce a galvanizing world of authentic field recordings and avant-garde rock soundscapes.
Premiere: 23 November 20:00 followed by a premiere party
