The japanese language knows different words for ‚nothing‘. one of them is ‚KOKUU‘. it describes ‚empty sky‘ and ‚void‘, as well as ‚decimal unit‘ and ‚fictitiousness‘. Hideto Heshiki has thought theater space as a fictional empty space. Whoever, dancer or musician, brings ‘something’ into that empty space with their body presence.
‘Kokuu’ – almost perfect visibility – is made from three parts, to live played music composed by Sha. These three parts are highly abstract compositions, they follow music-dramaturgic motives and develop the choreographies out of pure energy fluency. they also represent the powerful dynamism of dance and music.
Act I : Darkness shows invisible presence
Act II : Silence creates power of sound
Act III : Tranquility leads a groove
